Re: So, who's getting the new plastic Stealth when they come out?
Best answer I got was it doesnt suit him..... sorry not a lot of help but im guessing it was no improvement on his current fleet.... 'It doesn't suit me' without detailing why is, shall we say, unfortunate. Nobody expects a kayak to suit everyone and I doubt Stealth are so anal they'd be worried if...

Re: Rigging your livebaits on a kayak. Any preferred methods?
Started fishing livies as kids in the 80s for kahawai and while ive tried a few variations always come back to through the upper jaw/head, point up.... tried nostrils for awhile but had a few knocked off the hook (hook to thick?) klt 7/0 on delicate critters or 8/0 on kahawai. Use to back hook when ...

catana's are mint. cheap, bendy bendy, and whippy enough for flicking light stuff. I started with an oh and spin. gave spin away to a mate who bought another one... Ive been running a citrix on my oh and cant break it!

Yes! Waiting for a trial (nov) before ordering tho. Want to get my head around the practicalities of using in hull storage, and stability when in the poo relative to my 400.

Rough.... Sounds like you shouldve pulled out your fone, vhf, epirp and other safety equipment n explained you were preped for the conditions that you had checked on a forecast pre launch! Coast Guard only had your interests in mind. Police hate being videoed. Fone out. point randomly n ask question...

Re: Daiwa lexa
Im using a lexa and a citrix for all my fishing.
Both really enjoyable to use on micros and straylining.
Biffing top water lures I feel I would be better off with a spin.
The drags are super smooth n have yet to need to crank either right up

Epic fight , getting dragged into ugly reef in 4-5m several times and having to back paddle outa chaos... It was pretty spent after a long fight so got to c...
