Re: WHATUWHIWHI KAYAK OPEN DAY

10 minutes from Whatuwhiwhi anyone stuck for accommodation drop me a line.
You have to go past my door to get there - unless you live further up the peninsular.
2 bunks and a pull out double.
Be warned as a newie I will pick your brain mercilessly re yak fishing.

Re: WHATUWHIWHI KAYAK OPEN DAY

"NOWT AS QUEER AS FOLK"
To quote an old English saying.
Many a good club been spoilt by the internal politics of some members "ambitions".
Live and let live is my outlook, never have understood the power seekers in small non profit clubs/organisations.

Re: WHATUWHIWHI KAYAK OPEN DAY

So long as there is no animosity between the two groups collaboration can only be helpful to both sets of members surely.
Just an events page would be good.

Re: Getting geared up slowly

Recently moved from Himatangi Beach. Found both Tackle Tactics in Foxton and the shop out at Foxton Beach most helpful. Two weks b4 Easter I saw a local yak'er pull a 85cm Kingi ashore in the morning and a 7.5kg snapper in the evening. His first kingi ever and first snapper on his yak. Biggest smile...

Flags

Hi,

A tip from my years as a torpedo fisher.

Cut a cd in half and bolt it to your flag with the straight side to the pole.
As the flag flutters the cd picks up the sun and flashes bursts of light like a mirror making you much more visible.

Re: New Kayak, New Member

hi, I am using the same motor - well I will be - on a kingi 2+1 with 3 20Ah sla batteries so hopefully about 2 hrs.
Was thinking about using plastic wheels as floats/transport either up or down, same principle as a m/bike centre stand.
Neat looking outfit.
