Remember the whole 'shut down KFNZ' thing?

Well, it's still here :P I've carried out some overhauling and managed to reduce some costs and the hit on the pocket which should keep it going for a bit longer..! A few of people asked about making donations to help support the site and keep it going and I've finally put together a simple (I hope!...

KFNZ Forums to Close

Hi All, Well it's been a awesome ride that's for sure, I started KFNZ back in September 2009 and had no idea how big this place would get but of recent times the forum gets less and less traffic, the costs just keep increasing, and for the last three years there has been no financial support coming ...

Nah the terms would put me off, my kayak and gear is worth more than $2500... "we'll cover you up to the value you paid for them (on your proof of purchase) up to $2,500 and no less than $250. Flack will evaluate the claim and either pay out the full purchase value or a market value based on th...

Re: Damage when tying kayak on roof?

Nah upside down, tie downs rather than ratchets, don't leave it there permanently, and you'll be sweet (y)

I've used cradles on plastic kayaks and had more issues with them than when it was just upside down without them - denting in the summer and leaving black marks on the hull.

Re: I'm looking at a new 'yak and...

I can't believe how damn cheap that is for what is effectively a copy of the Prowler Ultra 4.3 BUT as others have said if you are thinking the Fishmaster sits low in the water I'd be wanting to try the kayak in the water before parting with my money as I'd think based on the design the Fishmaster wo...

If you can see it in your Outbox that means it was sent but not yet read, if your Outbox is empty and it shows in your Sent that means it was sent and he has read it.

You'll get feedback, not sure you'll get "pro" tips though LOL

Will you be supplying a new updated pic for the home page or should I go ahead and use the one above? The current one looks a little old...

Re: To the Site Admin's

Thanks for the bump, just had a play and moved a few things around, most popular categories at the top, and also created an archive area for those categories no longer used but possibly worth keeping for prosperity and/or reference.

Re: Prowler 13 ff adapter plate??

but seriously they were just made from 6mm or 8mm PE sheet so if you can't find one head to your nearest Warehouse and buy a plastic chopping board, cut it down to size, drill the holes you need, and you'll be sweet!

Re: Prowler 13 ff adapter plate??

Short of finding one lying around in a shop as old stock I think you'll be out of luck but the best place to start would be Rob & Janet at Coromandel Kayaks > https://kayakadventures.co.nz/ Or at the end of the day the plate itself was just a flat piece of plastic with some holes and a hook if I...
