In the past some have had a problem tightening the strap correctly but there's a YouTube video showing how it's done. Even better the team have changed the buckle they use to a big cam lock. Started laughing at the start and felt relieved i wasnt the only one but ended up feeling sorry and concerned for the poor fella..should of done things one at a time..kayak pulled way beyond waves then the rest of the gear i think...good lesson for me anyway

I had put a tiedown ratchet on c-tug and c-tug still pulled off going thru soft sand at Langs but maybe the sand wheels will alleviate this..can imagine a fracture being a bee-arch

C-TUG sand wheels

Hello everybody

Just wondering if anyone knows if the new sand wheels do cut nicely through soft sand and are worth purchasing? The original ones i got just create more work !

Great list nzkayaker veery helpful. Just a couple of things i'd like to comment on #4 I'd rather learn to 'not surf' and eyeball the weather then #1 won't happen as much. #7 just scares me. Cheers thanks for replys the bag it is...one tiny prob is that im still not too hot coming in through the surf and do flip and im wanting to put helix5 in dry bag with the reels before i come in but the power connection is still live. Ive got a OK BG2 and the battery compartment is a canvas zipped bag/box that is suspended between 4 straps inside the front of the yak. Cheers lespresso this yak is my second so I ended up buying a trailer just gotta make a rack for them :) .....will be another week before I pick it up but def will input some feedback kernels.....have to say this forum was a big part of my decision to purchase especially lespresso and MadMikes posts...
