Agree with all the early morning posts on here and the 12 hour mission.
Change things up a bit and go for a night mission, I mean launch at 10pm and fish through the night.
We have had some truely epic trips fishing through the night and for some reason the fish seem to fight harder :rock:

Counting up the number of broken paddles I have witnessed (5) I recommend that everyone should carry a spare for the minimal cost or at least 1 per group heading out. I will never be on the water without a spare. Now considering what wooden paddle options are available to use as my main paddle.........

My spare paddle was require twice at the Northland comp. The blade paddles fit inside the reload front hatch and once in place take up practically no room. I never go out without it onboard.
