Re: Did the proposed rec only reserves alter your vote today

Nah im not voting for a party just to produce a document that may or may not improve some fisheries. National have had plenty of time to sort out the fisheries if that's what they really wanted. It will be interesting to see how the RMA change that will be pushed through now by National will effect ...

Re: Commercial fishing ban in new marine parks

My very short 2 cents worth........its a discussion paper, like bugger will it get much further or if it does it will be well and truly watered down. Funny how they left this for just before the election.....just happens to be a coincidence and nothing to do with getting the fence sitting Jafas (Jus...

Who doesn't like curry?! :tmi: Mine only goes towards the English usual....squirrel, rabbit, hare, range of ducks, range of geese (nothing beats goose for Christmas day :* ), pheasant, woodcock, snipe, pheasant, partridge, water buffalo...sure there are a few other things.....(sure I had some Tescos...

Sea Life DC1400 or GoPro

Hey guys,

Im looking at going diving and snorkelling in Aitutaki.......and im just wondering what camera to buy! The DC1400 looks like an awesome still camera but the gopro is far more flexible (could be used while kayaking, spearfishing & mountain bike crashing!).

Any suggestions?

Re: Recreational Snapper Cuts Announced

Is this any real surprise? They said 35cm minimum with a catch of 3....we get 7 and 30cm wahoo...what a win! They paid no attention to the recreational fisher and just went with what they decided right from the start. Does this affect me, nope as I can barely catch a snapper! :D It just annoys me th...

Re: Hook, line and sinkered

So the commercial guys reckon that as rec fishos are catching snapper from the shore, there must be plenty of fish then and should be no change in limits......well actually increased for the comms guys. I love this type of random sense :^)

Could we just ban all Jaffas from fishing? Or increase the rates of all jaffas to cover the cost of getting rid of the comms guys? :wasntme:
