Re: Seeking your wisdom - buying a 2nd hand yak

Hi Esq, in my opinion for an upgrade you can't go wrong with the 4.5. In my humble opinion they are fairly quick, stable in rough conditions and relatively easy to put on a car roof rack. Look out for deep scratches on the bottom of the hull most scratches can be repaired. I suppose look at the in h...

Re: Venturing North in January.

Great place to stay. There are two ways of getting out for a fish . 1, take your yak along the walkway over the to the beach . Probably 15 stairs and depending on the wind it will be a surf entry. 2, launch from the estuary and go through the estuary mouth. Depending on the wind and tide its quite e...

Re: Thoughts on prowler elite 4.5

Hi you have just brought a great kayak. I have had mine for about 8 years now and cant see any reason to change. They have great stability and speed. I have never turned turtle due to the yak being unstable and im a big lad. I have fished in some pretty nasty chop and swell and never felt i was abou...

Re: rimu timber

Hi Bevan,
I would have some Rimu T&G flooring in my workshop in Penrose.
Or if you try Rimu northshore on Elice rd there bound to have some. You might just have to part with $10. What are you using it for by the way?

Cheers Clive

Re: Leopards, Tigers and Jaguars.

Wow, great story and pictures. You obviously have the family history in a book judging by the photos. My wife and friend have a business writing family histories and putting them into book form for the families and there are a lot of families with roots in India and some great stories. What will you...
