Re: Home brew advice or suggestions

Best Pointer - Quality water. I have found that some of the water around Auckland is high in chems. and although it doesn't seem to affect the darker ales and stouts, it has a marked effect on cervesa's and lagers (lighter beers). Since I moved to a place on tank water, I haven't had any brews which...

Kayak trailer bones... SORRY NO LONGER AVAILABLE....

I have a trailer which would make an awesome kayak trailer.
It has been stripped down ready for some awesome rebuild / recreate job.

Has Trojan 1 7/8 hitch and wiring.

Re: 5 Knots - Yeah Right

Well, sailing back from north head to west haven was chaotic, gin palaces firing past at only what can be seen as the 30-30 rule, 30 knots at 30 metres. One moron powered past between us and a small dinghy kicking up a 2m plus wake, filling the dinghy up with water.

Re: 5 Knots - Yeah Right

How about this, happened today.
I was swimming from my brothers boat which was anchored 50m outside the 200m buoys on the way to shore.
A dick in a yellow and white seadoo, towing a tuber, passed at high speed within 15 metres of me and 2 other swimmers.

5 Knots - Yeah Right

For anyone that is interested I have just started a FREE for sale site for anyone in NZ to buy and sell stuff without having the trademe fees and commissions taking a huge bite out of the money you get. http://www.howbazaar.co.nz hblogo.png It is new, so there may be a few teething issues, b...

Watch out

For those that enjoy setting longlines.. Check the topic heading. I was on a friends boat earlier in the week, and after setting the line in one of my 'spots' we sat back and waited. After 45 minutes we pulled in the line with 3 snapper of about 35cm. Worth a second set? Well the second set was left...

Whakatane and Rotoiti

The best trout fishing yak in IMHO I the hobie pro angler. It has a raised seat so you aren't sittin in cold lake water. The other cool thing about the PA is that your able to cast while moving, as it is a hands free vessel, using pedals instead of paddles. Very cool, I used on on Lake Tarawera a wh...

soft baits on blue cod.

This sounds similar to my kawhai lure..

A bit of white rag tied to a jig head.
Works a treat.
