Re: Tape on a wet hull - repair

I have T-rex tape but I can barely get the tape off the roll. It's strong as f*&%! :@

Re: water restrictions

I'm afraid it's true. Driest period on record and it could get worse.

Zero fishing for me at the moment. I'm working on rain water collection, drip feed irrigation and mulching to protect and feed my gardens for the tough times ahead.

Re: Missing kayaker?

I'm glad to hear they're okay. I know that stretch of water well. I use to kayak fish in that channel. When the tide is in full swing it is really difficult to paddle back to shore. I noticed the police helicopter flying over our neighbourhood on Sunday. But I thought it was some cheeky hua getting ...

Hmmm...I've had no such advertising on my phone. So far I've got Mitsubishi and Harley Davidson advertisements.

Flirty moms and Glamorous grannies isn't so bad. It could've been Tentalising Trannies or Groaning Grandads :tmi:  .

Re: Level 3 Fishing or not.

It was pure luck. From what I recall, there was a strong westerly. I fished between 18-20m, and I used a pink/black crazy charlie 60 or 80g lure. It looks similar to a Lucanus. I'm no expert in that area, but I've caught some great in Maketu as well - crazy charlie, once again. I try to go home as o...

I hope for good fishing weather myself. But I prefer a good rainfall for for a week or 2. I'm not liking the dry spell we've been having.

Re: Level 3 Fishing or not.

Due to L3 travel restrictions, I won't be leaving sth Auckland for the Firth anytime soon. L2 will be most comfortable for me. However, I have a renewed interest in our local beach; Wattle Downs / Weymouth Beach. I haven't been kayak fishing in this area for 5 years. The mouth at Weymouth beach is a...

Re: Lockdown

I don't have fishing withdraws like some people. I've completed a lot of projects on our house and garden. I'm also doing yoga and prison workouts, (check out Moses Cuevas and Iron Wolf if you're curious) to keep the body and mind rock solid. I haven't touched my fishing gear or kayak. It's probably...

Re: No fishing

I have so much respect for our doctors, nurses, GP's and essential workers doing their part to steer the country out of harm's way. I have 2 very good friends who are doctor's and the message from them is crystal clear - stay home. It's highly unlikely I'll have a job to return to because of the loc...

Leash it or buy a new one. Leash everything.and only take half of what you put out on the bench. Except safety stuff. Dont scrimp on safety stuff. +2 Leash your rods and cameras. I've dropped some expensive gear overboard this year. Also check out the Coastguard app. Download from the Apple app sto...

I hope this video helps.

I have the Penn 4500 Spinfisher 6. It's a beast! I haven't owned a Penn in years until I bought this one and I forgot how heavy the Penn's are compared to my stradics.
