Re: Trolling lures

I've been using the Rapala x rap for a number of years now. They're smaller lures than the Dr Evils and produce an action much like a stick bait on top of the water. I've landed heaps of KY and the odd King. I replace the trebles with 2/0 hooks. Hope this helps.

Narrow Neck - Sunday 6th

My first fishing trip of the year. Also my first time in Narrow Neck. No big snapper to report. The snapper I caught were too small and all released. There were some large schools of Kahawai near the shipping lanes. I happily landed 5 fat KY with my trolling lure. I need eyes at the back of my head ...

CCTV or hidden camera enquires

Hi everyone. Is there anyone who could recommend a camo CCTV camera? I have a problem with a useless sack of shi# that keeps dumping rubbish on my driveway. I think it could be a disgruntled former work colleague but I need the photographic/video evidence. Can anyone recommend anything? Thanks :y:

Nice going Destin :y: . I'm working on Bongard Rd and have a mean view looking out to Rangitoto. I always keep wondering to myself if Destin is out there catching a feed.

Heading to Nelson - March 2019.

What's the fishing like? I won't be able to take my yak with me but hope to get on a charter for a day trip.

Also are there any good dive spots around?

Thanks :)

Re: So where are the fish biting in the Northland?

I wasn't too keen to get out as the swell and wind wasn't good. But took my daughter out for a fish in the tutukaka wharf and she caught her first fish.

I used my daughter's rod afterwards and caught something big but the line snapped :swear:

Mean. Just my luck that the forecast is turning to crap this weekend. Perhaps I'll have to fish off the rocks.

So where are the fish biting in the Northland?

Hi guys.

I'm doing my annual trip up North to see the whanau. I'll be staying in Tikipunga. Hope the weather will be settled. Where are fishing biting? The last 2 trips to Matapouri have been fruitless but would be keen to check elsewhere.

Any tips anyone?

Cheers.
