About:
Come and enjoy a day of fishing from a kayak hooking up on a kawahai or even a barrcouta, can you imagine being towed while landing a king fish. Get snapper from the sounds, try salt water flyfishing and if the oceans not for you we have day trips to the high country lakes big browns and rainbows or even a salmon.

The Canterbury Kayak fishing club meets every second month 6pm – 7pm at PaddlerZone unit 2/7 Pilgrim Place Christchurch. Our members pride themselves on safety at all times and these techniques are past onto not only new club members but those who just want to try this exciting new sport.

This is a social based club with a key focus on fun, many of it’s members have a vast experience in all aspects of fishing. We have taken it to a new level by fishing from a kayak. All of the club members fish from a sit on top kayak, each of these yaks have been set up with there own unique style that suits each fisherman for comfort as we can spend a lengthy period out on the water.
